Zurich

    Geneva is one of the most important financial centres in the world. It has been ranked as the world’s eighth most important financial centre ahead of such cities as Sydney and Frankfurt.

    Geneva’s economy is service oriented and specializes in private banking (it is estimated that Geneva manages assets of 1 trillion dollars). Geneva is also the host city of a number of international companies such as Electronic Arts, Sun Microsystems and Mediterranean Shipping Company. Switzerland is established as the watchmaking capital of the world and Geneva is the home of the creme de la creme of the watchmaking world with such famous names as Rolex, Omega and Baume et Mericier calling the city home.

    Due to Switzerland’s neutral stance and the city’s developed infrastructure, Geneva has also proved attractive to international organisations such as the United Nations, the World Trade Organisation and the World Health Organisation.
